    Question Bilstein Shocks

Josh's Bilstein L shock install "how-to" and the PN list "how-to" have the L Bilstein PN for our trucks as something that Bilstein does not recognize! I assume this PN is a Ford-assigned PN for the L Bilstein?

Now I'm really ! Contacted three different dealers ... they all told me the same thing. They said:

    1. These PNs I gave them are superceded by Motorcraft PNs (AA-608 for front; AT-798 for rear)

    2. '00 PN for L shocks is different from '01/'02, '03

    3. '01/'02 PN for L shocks is different from '03

    4. They do not know if PNs they have are for Bilsteins or Motorcraft (whatever those are)

    5. Best price was $43.95/ea.

What's up? Anyone have some guidance for a "shock dummy" (as Josh would say) LoL!

As far as I know the 00-02 shocks are the same, but I believe the 03 shocks are longer due to the increased payload.
