    '06-'08 Wheel question

I just got a 2006 Expedition yesterday and was thinking about putting on a set of the gen 3 HD whels on it. My question to those that have them is this....What is the towing limit on the HD's with these wheels? I am going to need to tow 7000 lbs fairly regularly and was wondering if the tire sidewall would be too short to be able to safely tow that much. Since the '02-'03 tires were the limiting factor for towing, I was wondering if the same applied here.

    Thanks in advance.

Stock Tires on my 06 are the 275/45/22 Pirelli Scorpion Asimetrico's. Take a look at the load rating on Pirelli's website. That is where i would start.

The good news is that the HD 22's are rated only 60 lbs per tire less than the Expy stock 18's, so towing should be no problem. Bad news is I don't have the funds right now. lol. Was just wondering if it was going to be possible so I can plan ahead.

my understanding is the payload/bed weight/or tounge weight is limited to 995 lbs, this is due to the tires not the wheels. ford has a 5.4 4x2 supercab 133 in wb with 3.55 at 7700 lbs and 3.73 at 8200 lbs. they only show the harley with diminished payload max not towing max. it should be the same as a reg f150.
