    Pioneer Nav unit question ??

I have been looking at the Pioneer AVIC D3 for the past week. Does anyone have this unit ? Price is right @$888.00 for a NAV/DVD/CD touch screen but I have heard there kinda a pain to use, having to swap out discs if you want to use the NAV. My question is that if you add a disc changer can you just leave the Nav disc in the head unit and still listen to music as the nav is opperating ? This stock stereo sucks and I want something with pretty much everything for under a grand and this AVIC D3 fits in the price range. Thanks

Thanks for the link, it sounds like the bracket is required. I'll have to open the box before I leave the store, they told me the tin bracket wasn't included. Also going to pick up the factory style wiring harness, I hate hacking into the factory wiring. Its nice to prepare everything and just plug it in. Just crossing the fingers the last owner didn't already hack it up.
Looks like tomorrow is going to be an expensive day, O well company write off LMAO.

ROFLMAO I'll even post some pic's after the install. I had the factory Nav in my SRT but this unit will one up it with the DVD included. BTW Thanks again for the metra link, still trying to find things. Just like I don't see any air ride vendors, I have a company local for the kit so no worries.

Bad news, I bought the deck and get home to find out it won't fit unless I cut 3/4" out of the dash. I was just choked 45min drive each way to find out that I have to hack up my truck, so instead I bought just a Nav unit and will figure out something else for a new HU.

So this is the head unit I ended up buying today Panasonic CQVD7005 DVD/CD (Nav, Ipod, Blue Tooth can be added on) Picked it up today while waiting in traffic, I got so pissed off I thought I would kill some time and stop in and check out some decks. Ended up spending $600 but I am very impresses with how good this thing works. LMAO the guy tells me just ground out the bright green wire in the harness and you can watch DVD's while driving, so of course I did it. I bought the easy wiring kit and had it all hooked up in 15 minutes.
