is the craftsman a DA? that'll still speed up the process!

I use my PC DA on all the steps of zaino though. ZPC, ZAIO, Z5, Z2. Application with the buffer, and removal by hand, unless its being stubborn then I'll whip out a MF bonnet and remove it with the DA as well. Definitely speeds things up!

for in between detailings, check out EZ-Detail. CDillonGo gave me a couple cans for my b-day last year and the stuff definatley rocks for a quick detailing. adds a bit more slickness to the paint than the regular Z6 QD and darkens the paint up. Downside is it only seems to last a week or two, but goes in incredibly fast. Good for those times you wanna clean it up more than normal, but don't want to do the whole Z process.

btw...how long til the superduty's engine bay is looking like your 03's engine bay?

Well okay since reading this thread, I have bought the Zaino kit and a Porter Cable Dual Action Buffer! Gawd I hate you guys, I spend money when I'm around you.....oh well, its time I spent money on the truck instead of the stang or motorcycles for awhile!

Alright!!! Blue dawn wash, then clay. nice and slow with the clay, use a good car wash soap to spray. keep it wet so the clay doesnt drag. You should be able to feel a difference in the paint before and after. small areas at a time. do the plastic, bumpers, windows, heck everywhere. Then wash with a good car wash soap and you are ready for the ZPC. Not a real pro with the pc yet, but I am learning. my advice-- keep it moving. once done with the pc start with Z5 to fill in any swirls left. spray detail (Z6 or Z18) the truck in betwwen coats of wax. can do a couple of Z5 then a Z2 or whatever you feel( no more than 2 coats in 24hrs). Finish it off with a spray detail again, then enjoy! Hope this helps!!!!

Afterthought---- When I started on the new truck, there was so much hard water on it I could here the clay chewing it up it as i rubbed it

See, I know I will have hard water spots as our sprinkler system is well water and there are all kind of minerals in that water. She definitely needs some TLC which I will oblige in next week.

    well spill the beans man!

Another Gen 1 HD F-150, so you can re-create what I still consider one of THE nicest engine bays I've ever seen on a HD or L! Or a Gen 2 HD F-150 so we can see you work your magic on those hoopties?! Or another monsterous superduty HD?!

lol hey there was a thread the other week about guys looking into doing a 5th wheel setup on a f150 HD, so while its not ideal, its not unheard of either lol

Please tell me its a big ol' F-450 dually HD
