Sorry to hear about your troubles. Buildups are so frustrating. I sometimes wish I would have just stayed with a stock HD drivetrain. That temptation for a little extra just keeps you going though. :-)
I hope you get everything straightened out soon.
Wow, looking at the pix I would sure want to hold a flame near the tuners behind. He had that puppy running so lean, surely the detonation must have been audible on the dyno., must have sounded like shaking a can of marbles.
However, that doesn't necessarily explain the driveability problems, sounds like two seperate issues.
Either way, if you drove it into their shop with it running properly, they are responsible.
IMO, the BBB and a small claims filing would be the best place to start.
Does Florida have a Bureau of Automotive Repairs? If so, I would contact them too. In California, they carry a fair amount of weight with any business that must have a BAR license. In addition, if necessary, they might have a list of attorneys who understand what has happened (from a mechanical sense) which would save you from having to educate one.

Come on man...quit the crap...you said you had my truck for a week driving it around "debugging" it. It ran like dogsh*t when i picked it up and if you did drive it at all, you knew it. You didn't tell me when i was waiting for 4 MONTHS for my truck you were having it assembled by someone else.
I think i'll take everyones advice here and seek legal advice tomorrow. Screw me once shame on you...screw me twice, shame on me...screw me a third time, ain't gonna fvcking happen.
I did like you said and emailed Torrie with "any problems you might have" and he sent me a PM telling me my truck did what he told it to...whatever that fvck means. It's obvious he didn't let you know i was having all these problems, but as soon as he saw this, he was on the phone to you. Now you come here, to "my house" and try make me look like i did something wrong. You're lucky i'm nice guy. You and you're horde aren't ever touching my truck again and i'm gonna do everything i can to see no one else ever goes to your hackshop. I treated you with honor and you screwed me twice.
You want to make it right? Fine, i'll take it to a reputable performance shop like JLP or JDM and have it done right and you pay for it...
but we all know that won't happen...
JLP shortblock, Stage 3 heads and cams, 2.3 Whipple w/3" upper and 4# lower.Ba2800, Accufab, Pacesetter LT's, 60#inj, twin 255's, LFP efan, PI 2600 stall, Detroit Locker Tru-Trac, 58" LFP Tbars, Bilsteins all around, D.M.R. panhard, MT DR's. 564/598 on 15# boost
I would be doing the exact same thing fep.
in the past year you've had his truck more than he has and you dont have his # ? maybe you could look on those checks you've cashed from him and see if it's on there.with all the problems he's had I would think that you would have called and made sure he was happy and everything was good the next day.
holy crap that was lame Tony.
I hope Tony and HP Performance realizes that this will not die hard anytime soon as far as the FHTOC is concerned.
