Here's some instructions I have bookmarked from FTW on a new Expedition - our doors are not exactly the same, but much of his instructions are applicable: http://www.fordtruckworld.com/mygall...71&album=19337
Shoot me an email and let me know how it goes!

    THANK TAZZ!

To remove the front or rear door panels you remove 5 screws. Pop the panel for the window and door locks off the door panel and remove the wire harness at connection. Lift from the front of the panel not the back by the leather door handle. 2 screws are at the bottom of the door panel, 1 is on the upper right of the door panel, 1 is back behind the plastic door handle piece and the last one is about 4" below that door handle one. Remove all five and lift the door panel off.

    THANKS TAZZ!

The link I gave earlier has a photo with each screw clearly numbered by location. Click on the thumbnail to get a larger image and see if that is helpful.

FYI this is the passenger front door panel, instructions for the rear doors are the exact same.

First, pop off the trim plate around the door handle, pry gently at the forward edge...

then remove the phillips screw located beneath the cover...

then pop the plate loose that holds the window and door lock switches, pry gently on the forward edge, it should come straight up, then forward to remove, pop the electrical connectors off while your at it...

then remove the screw located behind the panel....DONT drop it!...

Finally remove the two phillips screws located and the very bottom edge of the door panel...

Should be able to slide the door panel straight up and off, dont try pulling straight out on the panel or it will break the tabs!

Very simple, 4 screws total and it takes about 5 minutes or less!

Our '95 Cougar had the "lift to remove" door panels too.Dont know when they started,,,,but it beats the shyt out of the old ,plastic "S.O.B." push retainers that usually broke.Definately a to Ford.

since this is linked in the how-to index, here's a few pointers for the 00 door panels (aka extended cab and regular cab trucks)

front doors only have 2 screws instead of 4 like the screws. one is behind the B-pillar trim piece, the other behind the door handle trim piece.

for the rear suicide doors, the top piece around the pop-out window pops off like the b-pillar, then the bottom portion has a couple screws along the top edge then lift & pull to remove like the front.
