could do a C&L plenum, smooth intake elbow, JLP IC spacer, mad e-fan, and to gain a little out of the exhaust without going too loud, you could keep the factory catback since that flows pretty well, but swap out the 4 stock cats for 2 high flow cats, should pick up a little top end without really sacrificing low end.

here's the Madfan e-fan info. highly recommended product.

as for cats. 2 1/2" inlet/ outlet. approx 12- 14" length. don't have the part #, but they're universal so a little welding will be necessary.

you can go forward and port the heads, and go with a better cam, but the rods and pistons on these trucks are off the shelf ford parts, non-hi-po, so you have to be careful with a safe tune and amount of boost. IMO, save some $$ for a Whipple/ built motor eventually, but you should be able to enjoy the Eaton for now w/ a stock block.

the pistons on the 2V motors hold up fine, but the rods are powdered junk once you turn the power up. heads and cams are a very labor intensive mod, and while it will make good power on a stock bottom end, you're really pushing your luck on popping it, and when it blows all that money in labor spent to do heads and cams is all down the drain. better off doing a twin screw blower on the stock block, and saving up that head & cam money for when you do a full built motor and save an easy $1,500 in labor

I stand corrected. the pistons are def better than the Gen 3's. The Whipple option makes sense in that you can keep the tune safe, then when a built motor comes around, the Whipple fits right in.
