    Dropped 2/5 but what else?

Ok....when JDM had the truck before shipping to me, they installed a 2/5 drop kit along with traction bars.

Now, I think it could go a bit lower...

    This was before

    And after..

Now if I wanted to go lower, whats the choices? dropped spindles, flip kit?

I also want to upgrade the shocks. Anyone done this and got any recommendations. The truck hardly carries anything heavy, I just want to be able to get the new found power down better and make it handle a tad more surefootedly....

By the way...this was the dyno sheet from JDM when the first installed the Saleen blower upgrade........

Will be going to get a dyno run in the next week or so, only problem is the Dyno here is a Dyno Dynamics and not a DynoJet so may see some differences.

I would not get a flip kit. I had one installed and took it off within a week. I hated the ride. I ended up with 4" drop leafs with a 2/3 shackle and I love it!!!

Kev, do what wayne did. your drop looks more like th 4" drop. if your leafs aren't flipped, then all you have to do is get the drop shackles to get it lower. up front, you may have to go with lower coil springs or do some cutting. good luck.
here'a pic of my 2/5 drop with the rear flip kit

    Cheers guys,

Looks like the drop shackles is the way to go up the rear (oooer)....any links for where to purchase (Uk friendly )

Any recommendations for a decent set of shocks also? Looking at the Bilsteins but also trying to see if anyone makes shocks with the adjustable coil platforms so maybe can get a bit of drop from them.....

Would really like to fit Air but cant justify the spend just yet...apparently there is a credit crunch happening......

ps. Just heard back from JDM...Apparently it was a 2/3 kit which JDM fitted then they added 2 inch drop shackles to the rear. What is left for me to do then?

Extremely rough and bottomed out easily. It is SOOOOOO much smoother now. It is a lower truck so it is a little rough but night and day difference. I guess it comes down to prefrence. Some people here have the flip kit and love it. I just did not like it at all. I wasted 1000 plus dollars but live and learn. Leafs and drop shackle is also cheaper and easier! Just my 2 cents.

I went with the Ford Racing 2/5 drop and I agree with the rear flip kit the ride quality suffered quite a bit than I was willing to sacrifice. It wasn't until I put shorter bump stops on that was I satisified.

That is what I had too Jeremy was the Ford Racing 2/5 drop kit. I added shorter stops and still not what I wanted. That kit was made by Ground Foce.

i see that you have the tow package...if its a rear leaf swap and not a flip kit you have...you can remove the spacers that are on top of the rear end but below the leafs...my understanding that these spacers are put on the trucks with tow packages...they may have been put back in...if they are still there you can get 3/4 - 1 inch for free....

    here it is

The spacers are very easy to remove. I removed mine before the new leafs and I did both sides in less than an hour. It will drop it a little.

    Lowering advice

    wwldman.

Would you be so kind as to tell me where you got the parts for lowering your truck. It sounds like you have it figured out as I don't want to kill my ride and I also do tow a motorcycle trailer with up to about 2,500 lbs on it and the trailer is 1,000 pounds.

Also, did you put the front pieces on yourself or have a shop do it.

    Thanks
    Randy
