I'm glad to see that people are still checking this out, i think it's something that the general public knows very little about.
Plus if you find out that your tires are 6+ years old it just gives you a good excuse to burn them off......

The Hankook Ventus I got on right now say the following:
0108---so 1st week 2008 Front Left
0308---so 3rd week 2008 Rear Left
but on the other side, the tires have the same markings prior and after where the date stamp should be...BUT ITS NOT THERE
Found the stamp right after the DOT 5M8M C K H....so I looked on the other side of the tire and there it was

Certainly makes you think. When I get home this weekend, I'm going to check the dates on mine. I replaced the fronts in January, but the backs are still (until the end of March) the original 2003 Factory tires. In addition, my dad just put 4 new tires on his truck in the last two weeks. Hmmm....
