way to go josh! great job!
to be honest idc that its your... 100% honest... idc...
i see how much you care about me now...
and i am not worried... i will make plenty more power then you and put it to the ground... you will see some sub 1.5 60s maybe even 1.4s...
i am ditching the leafs and going another route... involves coil overs....
so... have fun while you have it... congrats again... and man its so far under my skin...
1.4 60's, Gonna remember that one! That truck better perform for 2 years worth of talking it up, and not sticking with a stock style suspension
pink slips.. no cash. straight up races, bring your best.
Dosent matter how much a record is beat by. A record is a record.
My truck IS 4 door. Same frame, same suspension, etc. That foot less of a cab ain't all that much lighter with that foot extra of bed. My truck stripped down is probably still a few hundred lbs heavier than a full weight L
And just noticed in that pic that you're right JL did have the passenger seat out. At the magazine shootout a few weeks ago he had the full interior in though. The stipulations for that event was you needed to have full interior, and the truck still laid down a mid 9
It would be interesting to see what it goes on the scales at full weight though.
I see people quoting an L at approx 4700lbs and I know mine weighed 5600.
You figure that the Screw would go somewhere in between as it doesn't have rear electric windows or power slider and I'd guess that a foot of bed weighs less than a foot of cab due to the material differences.
Just my guess though and not trying to take anything away from your achievement.
I've always struggled to take a tenth of at a time let alone a whole second and a bit.
Way to go Josh!!
That's quite an acomplishment Josh. I hope to take that record from you soon however.
I'm figuring its around 100-150 lbs difference at most between my extended cab at full weight an a screw at full weight. While there is a bit more cab material, its only a cross sectional additional foot, it still has all the hinges & handles, and the metal in the bed floor & walls is a lot thicker than the metal in the cab's ceiling, floor, and doors, so that does offset the difference a small amount. I'm going to try to hit the scales at Cecil if they're open. I weighed most of the components on my truck that I typically remove for race weight, so it'll be easy to compute once I can get a baseline somewheres.
Bring it on! Competition is a good thing!
But I'm nowhere near done yet either! LoL!
*Edit*
Some kickazz photos from Jody of the rental & my 10 second pass!
