    wheel spacers

anyone ever put some wheel spacers in the rear to stick the rear tire out. I have seen some up to 2". I have some 22"s with 285's and 3/4 inch would fit perfect in the wheel well, but a full 2 inches would be perfect with the outside of the flare parallel with the truck body. anyone with any experience with these input would be great thanks.

I agree, even on my 07 HD, all four wheels are tucked in and the truck would pry look better with the wheels out further about an inch on each corner. The only thing is if the front or rear tire is awefully close to the wheel well, there would be some rubbing issues if you hit a dip in the road; the tire would smack right up to the flare or fender.

I have 2/5 drop on mine. the other issue is if you have to get longer wheel studs to do this mod.

    Does anyone have a link to spacers for 5 X 135 or 6 X 135 spacers?

Just make sure to re-torque frequently after installing the spacers (personally I would do 50, 100, 500 miles). I have heard to many horror stories about those things coming loose.

I have thought about doing spacers on the rear of mine as well. Even with just 2" rear shackles it would look a lot better with the tires more even with the fender like the front.

I was thinking can we put the wheel far enough out to go underneath the fender flare? instead of just tucking it under the wheel well.

I have 2" wheel spacers all around with a lug conversion. if you do decide to do this you will have to cut your wheel studs coming off of the hub cause they will go past the spacer and they need to be trimmed so that the wheel sits flush against the spacer. The wheels will be pushed out from the spacer the amount depends on the offset and width of the wheel you can get a good idea by comparing the mesurements to your stock setup.
