Time for new paint on the bike. I am going to try something a little different. Thought about this scheme when I painted it the first time. Now with the new truck, I gotta do it.
Here is before:
What will it look like after? Time will tell.

Nice paint but IMO something a little more subdued/subtle on a piglet is more appropo.
Matching Ghost flames for the bike and the truck
^^^ what he said
Ding ding ding, we have a winner. At least Im going to give it a try. Since the bike is a 2002 also I thought it would be neat to make them match.
Now I need some opinions. Im just going to have a straight pinstripe on the fenders and do the ghost flame on the tank. Should I do a set of flames down each side or should I extend them all the way over the top??????

best thing to do is talk to the painter.. give him/her your idea.. and let their creative mind tell ya.. they have experience with this kinda thing anyway.. what looks good on certain bikes and what doesn't

as long as you do not go with this paint scheme on your truck we are good!
That's right, Im too CHEAP to pay someone. A friend had his softail painted by a new painter and was given a "killer" deal just to get their name out there. That killer deal was $900. It was a nice job, but too rich for my blood. Most around this area want $1500 - 2000 for a set of tins. I'll just keep practicing away. I had almost $100 in my last paint job and looked OK. This one will probably be less than that. While working on this one I thought of another that I would like to try, so my original tins may get sanded down after all.
Done!!!!!!!! Got it put back together. Also got my 11 3/4" rear shocks. Stock is 13 1/2. Add in a 1" lowering kit, it sits about right in the back.
