LOL I dont know about the Fukin Man or Jesus Himself LOL....just happened to be the first wrench on the scene!

Thanks goes out to MAtt (Oki) for being the ramroddin coordinator on Operation Wrench! He hit me up a while back after getting the low down with Mike and his Truck Problems and came up with the idea and spearheaded the whole thing!!! Thanks must also go out to all the Brothers behind the scenes who lying in waiting, ready to come to arms and provide any and alll (if necessary) support needed! The list was quite impressive and what people were willing to do and donate in order to get Mike back up and his truck running again if needed was phenominal! Luckily it was nt needed but to know it would be there if the prognosis turned out differently....left me speechless as well as Mike and his family.

I took an extra 4 days of leave so that I could deviate my trip from SoCal to SC and dedicate that time to Mikes truck if need be. I didnt call him until I was 2 miles from his house, but even then I didnt tell him who it was, only to make sure that he was home. Matt had called a little earier and let him know a surprise guest was on the way but he didnt tell Mike I was the one coming. When I pulled up in the Driveway...Mike was picking his jaw up off the ground!

It was my pleasure to be able to come by and wrench on that Beast....get her up and running and then seeing Mike smile again(understatement to say the least LOL)!!!!

She is back to being a Tire Shreddin, Pavement Eating, Fire Breathin Beast again!!!

A big Thank You to Mike and his Family for the great hospitality!!! Opering up their home so that I had a place to stay for the night! feeding me !! and all of the good times!!! Mike and I didnt shut up from 530 Tuesday night, when I got their until 130 in the morning, and then we crashed for a couple hours and took off at it again.

    Essentially:

Got there at 530pm on Tues...got out Bs'd for about 30 min or so and then dove into the truck.

    -Fired it up....running like *** motor shakin...etc

-Datalogged parameters and watched the A/F Gauge Hunting for SToic badly (all indications to me was vac leak somewhere) no codes thrown except for MAF/TPS inconsistency.

-Dove into her pulled off everything (TB to the MAF)

    -checked TPS, Checked out good

-pulled off a bunch of vac lines

-Cleaned MAF (Has a dry filter so wasnt suspecting dirty MAF sensor leads)
PUT TB back on (Tqd to spec, had a bolt that wasnt tqd right, little loose to me)

-Reattached all vac Lines, intake elbow, maf, filter

-Gave motor a good once over Looking for any other possible vac leaks, plugged a vac line (which shouldnt have effected driveability but did for good measure)

    -Fired her up (instantly bettter)

-Hooked up and datalogged parameters again..all were noticeably better than before, engine was smooth, wideband not freakin out, Throttle response better etc

-turned her off for the night, bs'd till 130 in the morn

TOok for acid test run around town for a good 30 plus minutes, Shedded tires at least 6 times (LOL) after the first shredding session, the switch was flipped and Mike was back! The look was priceless, went from a look of uncertaintly/down trodden to instant smile and pumped up. Every shred the perma smile got even bigger....by the time we made it to the store...it was "I got to clean my baby and get her looking good again, blah blah blah, I cant be driving her around all nasty like this Blah Blah Blah, I need to go find that Faker in the Yellow Corvette and whip his *** Blah Blah Blah!" It was great to see Fep back to his old self and a renewed interest in his beast!!!!!

    Welcome Back Fep!!!
