So I know alot of you have been curious where Fep has been. Well, besides the FL boys and some others who found out about my project and got on the email chain, here is the story, as Fep has now authorized me to inform everyone.
Fep's truck after his track days he posted up wasn't running right still. A/F bouncing from 13-20 at idle, even after warming up and the rear end was spinning one wheel and not the other.
Well after all that the truck had gone through, Fep had enough and didn't know what to do. So that is why he was gone from all the boards and basically out of contact.
Well since I found out this information, I couldn't just sit back and do nothing, so an email chain was started and a list compiled of who could do what, money, parts, time, etc...
Thank you to everyone who responded and wanted to donate to the cause. To our surprise and very thankfully, during the first diagnosis of the truck, it is not only diagnosed, but fixed.
I just want to give a big thanks to everyone who got involved on fixing the truck with me. Especially to Stew. Stew stopped by Mike's house yesterday and today on his way from CA to SC. We had arranged for this surprise visit so someone who is wrench savy could do a diagnosis to see what was wrong and to allow me to determine how much time, money, etc. was going to be needed.
Well, STEW IS THE MAN. As of now and after 6+ hours of work on Feps truck, it is running great and Fep is a kid in a candy store again. Stew said the truck was able to go on the street and lay down some serious rubber...burn outs up to 120mph and back down...tearing around town, etc... and all is good. Rear end is spinning both wheels and A/F is reading exactly where it should be.
Being part of a community like this, where everyone is willing to help out everyone else is great. This could not have been done without the support of everyone who was involved and I just want to say from Me and I know from Fepony as well, a big
THANK YOU
Matt
