    Been a long time

Well, it's been a long time since I've been around these parts. Thought I'd check in and show off my new project. For the last two years I've been looking for a 1957-1960 F100 to work on. I wanted to find something cheap but still in great shape. Finally, the search is over!

For $500 I bought this today: 1960 F100 Longbed with a 460 in it. Rear-end has been swapped for what looks to be a 1-ton differential. The truck used to be raced down in Mexico. Engine turns but needs to be rebuilt.

"La Cucaracha"!! Great find! Those look like old Holley 660 center-flows? The "T-bar" linkage set-up on the quads looks just like the home-made set-up I installed for a set of 'em on-top of an old Edelbrock tunnel-ram that was on a '63 Vette I had during 1971! Gonna be a fun project, for sure!

I've discovered that this is either a 65 or 66 and most likely an F250. Either way, I'm stoked. The truck has a lot of potential.

I'll be bringing the truck home next weekend and will start tearing it down then.

Well, the truck is home after a pretty uneventful trip. Aside from the rain and getting soaked for about 10 minutes, we had the truck loaded for the drive home in under an hour.

Luckily the field it was sitting on was hard packed dirt so it didn't get too muddy.

It'll be a month or too before I can sart digging into it. Need to get an engine stand and some additional tools soon.
