    My Harley is down

    Yeah, it happened.

    I was in a sandstorm on monday, $4,500.00 in damage.

    Headlights, widnshield, full repaint of front of truck. Sprung passenger door (Passenger got out when we stopped and wind caught door).

    So, i am reduced to a subaru rental for now.

    Hope your insurance is covering it.

    Are you going with the stock paint scheme or a custom scheme?

    Oh yes, my insurance is handling it. All i have is a 250 deductible. The only custom element i am including is having the mirrors painted differently.

    Damn...sorry to hear. Glad insurance is covering and you have a low deductible. Hopefully you'll get it back soon.

    dang, glad to see it wasn't worse and goes to show that all the material things we come to like ( and take care of) are no match for mother nature. And it good about the low deductible. shoot, mine's like $1000.

    Those storms are NASTY, I went through one out of Barstow, and luckily all it did was pit the glass up front but that was only about 20mph for me with winds up to 60+ gusts!!
