    Very interesting, good post!

If you do it, post pics, I would like to try that, but I dont know if I want to be the first to do so! The results look good in that write up though.

ive actually seen a few before and after shots of the process and it looked promising... eventually i will test a small piece, or do an old leather seat as a test and do a write up.

that process looks like it worked pretty good. I'd be a bit leary of doing it in a HD truck though unless the seats were really bad. Thats something I'd try in my 94 stealth but not my HD lol.

My seats actually look great though for 51k miles. They look like they've got may 5k miles instead of 51k. Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner is hands down the best I've ever used. Tpr103 used it in his truck too and was impresssed with the results in his truck with 100k+ miles.

want to try it on my drivers seat? years ago i used this stuff and it took the color right out of the seat! i f'in freaked!! i bought this leather shoe die that came in a small spray can and it worked pretty good but now is starting to wear again. i dont care though i have a brand new set of 01 covers sitting in the factory ford plastic bags waiting. so if you want to try it out go ahead. zaino leather cleaner and conditioner works awesome. i softens the leather and leaves a nice leathery smell. also it doesnt leave a shiny greesey film.

I've used Doc Baileys on my bikes for years.
Both the Doc's Black and the Tonic.
Good Stuff...the black puts the black back!
(It gives a flat finish and contains a black dye)
Doesn't seem to last long though.

    +1 on Zaino Leather products
I have used MANY products over the years and this is the first time I ever used Zaino. This stuff is worked excellent. IMHO

I just did my 03 Shamu seats see post...

    http://www.nhtoc.com/vbforum/detaili...-products.html

I'm still looking for a way to get rid of the black leather cracks.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

not really much you can do about the wrinkles and crack looks on the black leather. Could maybe try dying the seat, but other than that no real easy fix like cleaning them up with something. I always keep a black towel on the seats of my truck for regular cruising around use. It actually helps a LOT with keeping the cracks and crevaces and wrinkles from ever forming. I'll have to take pics of my 00's seats, one with 51k miles and one with not even 2k miles. Its hard to tell the difference! lol

"Connolly Leather Cleaner is a luxurious leather cleaner that quickly removes dirt and oil by penetrating and lifting them from the surface of the actual hide."

NOTE: Virtually all car leathers used today are finished with a clear protective coating that is applied for protection and durability of the leather.
This means you'll actually be cleaning, or conditioning a clear protective layer that's made up of different types of resins, polymers, synthetics etc.
You are not dealing with the actual leather, but the clear protective layer; just like the clear coat on your car paint.
Keeping your car leather clean is the most important and critical part to the health and beauty of your car leather.

Here's a little info on modern leather care.

+1 on the Connolly Leather Cleaner & Conditioner as well! I actually just finished treating my seats a few hours ago. I searched for years to find a good cleaner/conditioner and stopped when I found/used Connolly's. I've used Zaino's products in the past but never their Leather treatment; may have to add some to my arsenal.
