I've got rotorpros slotted rotors and my question is does it matter which way the slot faces? Does it need to lean forward or backward? Or does it matter?
thanks

heres a pic i got from rotor pros when i got mine a few months ago
When installed properly the rotors ( slots ) should face towards the rear... So right ( passengers ) \ \ \ \ and left ( driverside ) / / / /
I thought it didnt matter wich way they are mounted.
Looks like ive got mine on backwards then...Ill have to swap them around.
actually unless the veins are directional, the slots on the surface can go either way. Some companies slot them one way, others the other way. If the veins aren't directional (which rotorpros aren't), then you can mount them either way.
I mounted mine to slant towards the back when looking at the top half of the rotor just because I prefer that look, but really it makes no difference on performance.
Yes! It is the vanes of the rotor (not slots) that determine the correct direction for the slots and/or drilled pattern. The direction of internal cooling vanes does make a difference for cooling and de-gassing. Josh is correct in identifying the RotorPros as any ol' way you like them since the cooling vanes are radial/"straight".

just look in the veins and you can see if they're directional or not. pretty much just the high end rotors like brembos or wilwoods are directional. rotorpros are just stock rotors with plating and machining. I can almost guarantee they aren't directional veins in them.
Thanks for the tips... I went ahead and swapped them where the slot faces the rear. Im glad I did because I had a bad wheel bearing on the passenger side so I got that replaced as well.
