When I installed my belltech spindles I replaced all my bearings, I just went to youtube and typed in "replacing wheel bearings" and watched a couple of videos and had a good idea of how to do it.

Take your time and go ahead and get new inner and outer bearings, they are not that expensive.

Hajihunter, This is about a 2 on a scale of 1-10 difficulty. The hardest thing is busting the lug nuts loose. Don't be afraid to use plenty of grease by scooping a handful and working it into the bearings by hand THOROUGHLY. The spindle nut is just hand tightened and be sure to replace the seals too.

make sure you reinstall the spindle nuts properly though. Its some funky procedure thats been posted up before. Tighten down to a certain torque rating, losen a certain amount, then retighten, etc. Otherwise it can cause issues down the road.

did you just tighten the bearing nut down, or did you follow the ford procedure for it?

over tightening will kill the outer bearing...use the procedure and check it before you go *** over tea kettle if it fails.

you still didn't answer our question. Did you install the new bearings with the proper ford procedure for tightening them down or not?

    may I present exhibit A:

    Tighten the axle nut.
a.While rotating the rotor CW, tighten nut to 30 ft.lbs.
b.While rotating CW, loosen 2 turns.
    c.While rotating CCW, tighten to 17-24 ft.lbs.
d.While rotating CW, loosen 1/2 turn.
e.While rotating CW, tighten to 17 INCH lbs.
