No worries dude, I was thinking about going for the larger tyres myself when it comes time to replace. I really like the look of the Zeon LTZ's, I have a set of Zeon XST's on my truck at the moment & they are good on the road wet or dry but pretty useless in mud or snow. Would be good to see a set on nielboy's truck if he goes that route.
You can't have too much power, just a lack of traction!

I found some 4x4's with the Cooper Zeon LTZ in 305-40-22. What'll all think of them versus 305-45-22?

Best bet would to get some winter wheels and tires and keep your stock wheels with the tires it comes with ( Pirellis?) for the rest of the season.
That was my first plan, but then I decided that I wanted the ease of not swtiching wheels over during the winter as I already have to do that for my wife's car. Plus I kinda sold the idea of the F-150 to her as a vehicle that wouldn't need the wheels flipped for the winter. But when I found the Harley edition, I fell in love with it, and I've read up on the Pirellis and they just won't cut it for winter.

They look good, I would go for the 40 profile as they are so close to the stock diameter it won't mess with the gearing. I was going to get my rims powdercoated either black chrome or satin black as they have a couple of kerb injuries meaning that I will have to get then re-finished before I put new tyres on. Definately going for the LTZ's now, will post some pics in a few months time.

I also found a nice alternative in the 45 series tire. The Hankook Dynapro ATm RF10 has great reviews and is available in a 305-45-22. Here they are on a Nissan Titan with KMC Slide wheels.

Just put Hankook 305's on my 08. I'll post some pics tomorrow after I clean her up. So far, it feels pretty darn good, compared to the Pirellis.

Well I finally stopped hedging and bought the Cooper Zeon LTZ 305-40-22.

Don't have any rubbing problems at all. Thanks to everyone for the info.
