Have you tried Blackfire Wet Diamond?

My quest may finally be over.
I've used about every wax and sealant from A to Zaino.

I like the longevity, bright and shiny finish from a sealant
I appreciate the warmth, depth and pool look of a carnauba.

IMHO, BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection has all of the above and the elusive "wet look" I have always been searching for.

Two coats 8 hours apart. VERY easy to apply and remove (I like that!) and it's ultra slippery.

day 1: 1500 wetpaper/3000 wet paper
day 2: g-3 cut coumpound/ 3m swirl remover, glze
day3: 2 coats of liquid tech by random orbital/ 2 coats of z2 by hand
day 4; 2 coats of aicd rain sealer from final coat

I'm a big believer in the least agressive method first approach.
I use a PC/DA...this is my latest method.

If sanding is needed I use
Meguiars Unigrit Sanding Disc's 1500/3000
Surbuf pad
(Surbuf pad is awesome even by itself)

For Polishing
KBM Megs 105/205/Menzerna Polish PO85RD
(LC Orange/White/Black pads)

Last Step Protection (LSP)
BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond
(LC Gold Pad)

Just curious, and probing for some questions on this one, but how can you say BFWD is your "all of the above" solution when you just applied it and don't really have any long term results on longevity? Not only with how long it protects the paint, but also how it looks after long term protecting the paint if it can last 3-6 months? As another detailing addict, just curious to know.

I do find the names of some of these products somewhat funny, and almost makes me think sometimes if they're trying to compensate for something because "wow with a name that intense, it MUST be good!" when really it could be a regular average product

Black Fire Wet Diamond.....what does black fire look like? Can you get fire wet? Can you get Black-fire wet? How are wet diamonds any shinier than dry diamonds? What about when you put wet diamonds in a fire? What about wet black diamonds in a fire? Ah the mysteries of the universe

That's true, I don't have any personal long term results yet.

Souveran does not last but 2-3 weeks it has a very nice warm, deep look.
Zaino lasts 4-6 months but it can be a little finicky to use and remove.
I have been applying Z-2 then topping with Souveran to get the best of both worlds.

I found if you apply Z-2 thin as directed it is difficult to tell where it is applied.
I also found Z-5 and Z-2 can be more than a little difficult to remove at times.
Although Z-2 is bright and shiny and lasts a long time, it does not have warmth.
Z-2 makes shiny. I like shiny things!

Souveran on the other hand is super easy to apply and remove.
BFWD was REAL easy to apply and remove (as easy a Souveran IMHO)
I like super easy to apply and remove!

My first impression of BFWD is positive for both ease of use and the finished look.
A synthetic one step sealant that is easy to use with the warmth of a fine carnauba.

Now if it lasts!

for black , yes i agree the least agressive method firstis the way to go. i am very particular and hate any form of factory peel. i actually own a paint/bodyshop here in canada and do a lot of sand and polish jobs for customers who require a wet like glass look to their paints.
My main trick with black is to take your time with your movements no matter what your using (oribtal or high speed.)
as for longetivity i have tired lots and lots of products and most are pretty similar and comparable.
my favorite sealer is a tie between final coat and liquid tech i usually get 1-2 years out of my buff jobs with them. Zanio works well also but i have found if you daily drive the car your lucky to get 6-8 months out of it. i give zanio products credit for being vary consumer friendly, and they are easy to use.
as for wax of any sort, i beleive that wax is old technology, plus for me its not bodyshop safe.

+1 on meguiars superbuff pad, they work great and actually hold up. i can do anywhere 10-15 buffs per pad atleast.

I'm installing RAAMat in the complete interior this weekend. I'll try to take some close up reflecto side shots.

The silver is the worst for showing off the shine. All I have is a cheap point and click. The pics don't do it justice.


I don't have any close up reflecto shots of the silver sides but this should al least give you some idea.


Can you see the front fender and the drivers door reflection of the red folding chair on the right hand side?

do you wax/polish it? I'm always amazed at the number of people who don't wax/polish their headlights, chrome, or hard plastic pieces on vehicles.

I've used Zaino on the bug shield, chrome and hard plastic. It works very well. The plastic bumper never seems to shine with anything but a little Zaino. I'll try BFWD the next time and see how well it works.

Until BFWD I never could seem to get a warm, shiny reflection out of silver paint. I'm gonna try BFWD on the glass and chrome next time and check out the results.
