    Another creature comfort conversion!

I thought I would let you guys know what I'm doing now. I've installed heating elements in the rear seats. I've installed the power sliding rear window. I pioneered the power passenger seat conversion and now I'm about to start another project!

I've bought a set of front seats out of a 2002 Lincoln Blackwood. The creature comfort level of these seats has our seats blown out of the water. Not only are both of these seats power and heated, but they have power lumbar and are also cooled!

I'll be sure to update this thread as the conversion progresses!

    Cool

Love the part about them being cooled. That would go great down here. Are they the same shape as our seats?....rather would the black and silver skin from the '03 fit back over them or would I have to get them re-upolstered to match?

Very nice...can't wait to see the finished product. Pretty soon here I am going to have to do something about my D-Front seat as the electronic control for the seat has been not wanting to work every now and then.

Makes things interesting when Amber's 5' 2'' self gets in there and adjusts the seat and then my 5' 10'' self gets in and can't move the seat back!!! Take's a lil coaxing to get it to work, but so far...it always has.

Lol. Your install was definately a little more difficult than mine.

If they aren't the same shape as our seats (I believe they are) then I am going to cut my foam so that the fan can still push the air through them. I am not sure if the 03 seat covers are perforated like the 02 seats, you would probably have to get them perforated.

Sounds like your switch, whenever I first did the passenger seat it didn't work very well (came out of a Navi with no doors) so the switch had gotten wet, replaced the switch and it worked flawlessly.

Very nice mod. I want to do that in my truck. My wife's Expedition has cooled seats and I love them.

Went and picked up the seats today, they are definately not in mint condition but they are in good shape.

There sure is alot of stuff underneath these seats

The passenger side wiring harness is plug and play since I have already done the power seat conversion. It was great to feel the air blowing through the seats. I wanted to plug this seat in just to make sure it worked.

I'll keep you updated as progress continues.

Man I know this was 8 years ago and I'm dragging up a dead thread but is there any info on the end result? I can pick up a set of Blackwood seats local for $125.
