    Bilstein shock install

Just finished installing my L spec bilsteins. Job was a little harder then described in the How to.

They must have changed the shocks. Instead of using a wrench to hold the shock piston from moving, you use a number 6 allen key/socket.

All in all took me about 2.5 hours, would have been much faster if I had a better jack

Shocks made a huge difference, and my HD only has 43K miles on it.

    You know it.

I could do them now in about 20 mins, but it took me a while to figure it all out the first time.

I seriously wouldn't use Nitro shocks ... I had them for about 2 years and they gave up on me. Horrible ride. Why not go with L shocks with extenders?

Buy a set of bilsteins and forget the nitro shocks. Do a search, the reviews absolutely blow.

Sounds like you spent $40 for a PITA mod to install that won't last very long before they crap out lol. Sorry man, call up madenterprise and order some bilsteins, trust me it'll be well worth it!!!

Mine felt great for about 6 months. Then my truck went into storage for the winter, when I pulled it out this spring the fronts were blown to hell. Worse then my stock ones.

seems like a ripoff, I got a full set of take-off lightning bilstein shocks (front + rear) that had 15k miles on them from another forum for $75 shipped, then got the belltech extenders from summracing for about $60.
