How long or how many days do you all take to do your trucks??
    What products/process did you use?

Did you get all the swirls out?

Did you use a DA buffer?

How long did it take you?

    Let's see some pics!

    Festool makes excellent products.
    Which polisher are you using?

Are you using the complete Glare product line on your truck?
    Microfinish, Spider, Glare polish?

I have been using Glare for years. Just last week it saved my a$$ again!
I found a 3" crescent shaped scratch in my tailgate.
I took it to my local "detail boutique" shop and they suggested a little clear coat touch up (diluted a bit with alcohol to thin it).
They recommended using the -Touch it up, buff it, touch it up, buff it, repeat method to fill in the scratch.
They said it would not be gone but it would be a lot less noticeable or I could have the whole tailgate resprayed with clear coat.

I didn't like either suggestion too much. So I went home, took the Glare polish off the shelf and gave it a go.
Two minutes later and a little rubbing the deep clear coat scratch was GONE!
What I like about Glare is that it is not a (as seen on TV) "wax stick" filler.
I know that when I use Glare, when the scratch is gone, the scratch will STAY GONE.

Glare polish does not give you that glossy Zaino Z-2 shine but...

    GOOD NEWS
Our Ford clear coat is soft so it polishes scratches/swirls out pretty easy.

    BAD NEWS
Our Ford clear coat is soft so they come back pretty quick and easy.

I have never done a complete vehicle with Glare polish just my bikes and some touch ups areas on the truck.
It would really be nice to find out if this clear coat Glare "bonding" will actually make our CC more scratch resistant.

Did you do the Glare two step?
First layer goes on kinda hard like rubbing compound until is disappears.
Second layer is applied like a traditional wax and then lightly wiped off.

Polish, polish, polish and I really don't know how many paint corrections we can do on our Ford factory clear coat.
If a product can "add" to the clear coat, make it thicker, stronger and more scratch resistant that's real good by me.
I am very interested on your "lasting" results. I can always add Z-2 over it for a extra glossy shine.

BTW - The finish in those pics looks pretty freaking GOOD!

I do the two coats on the polish. I bought the Glare products because it said the polish would be on for 5 years but found it hasn't lasted any longer than most polish or waxes.

So what do you do about the rubber weather strips?
My rubber and plastic I would put blue tape over it to keep off the wax. but the one around the sunroof I did not tape and the wax has made the black rubber turn white.

    Question

Yeah, what is the best solution to remove polish off our trim pieces? I got a lot of it all over the rear window surround when I was doing my rear lid and its hard as hell to get it off the grainy type plastic now.

I sure won't forget to tape stuff up next time!

First try 91% isopropyl alcohol with a MF towel.

If it's more stubborn try mineral spirits.

Once clean, follow up with Black WOW.
