it takes me i full 8 hour day to do a black buff job.
2.5 hours for 3 panels sounds not to far off
best to take your time and really work slow with the machine to make sure you dont get nasty swirls and such
it takes me 2 full hours to detail my HD! and i love doing it, thats my happy hour!!
take me 5 to 6 hours to do a full detail of the HD. did one the other day. washed the truck. went around the truck wetsanded lots of scratches out. then went around with a polish, then a full wax. then i did the detailing haha
2002 DSG HD #2199
6 hours exterior +1 on engine bay +2 on interior including a hot water extraction on carpet
On just a normal wash, I usually take around 2 hours. If Im detailing it, I will spend around 6-8 hours on it. And I LOVE my time detailing my cars. Its like a little escape.
90 seconds at Chevron car wash?
It's really TOO hot here during mid-day to do it now.
Always apply polish and sealant in the shade.
Short Version:
Depends on the condition of the paint.
I use a PC with pads and polish
Always use GOOD Micorfiber towels!

Ok I finish one side, just got the other side + roof, tailgate, hood left to do..You know would be a lot better with you guys over here.......
all sweatty dam day... Merlin taught me how to do it right and first time out it took me all day long. And to be honest, I was rushing it a bit. It can take two days or longer if you do it right.
Merlin's da man! Taught me a bunch of other things at the same time too! ....not sure I can repeat 'em on this forum though?
