it takes me i full 8 hour day to do a black buff job.
2.5 hours for 3 panels sounds not to far off
best to take your time and really work slow with the machine to make sure you dont get nasty swirls and such

    For a show I will spend 2 plus hours and apply one or two coats of zaino Z2 + Z6 + Z5 + Z8.

I don't drive my HD in winter or when it rains - so a california duster plus zaino shine enhancer is usually all I need week to week. So 20 minutes tops.

Amber and I have spent 3-4 days from 6pm - 10pm getting the truck ready for a show.

For just a normal detail clean, its definitely a 4-6 hour job

On just a normal wash, I usually take around 2 hours. If Im detailing it, I will spend around 6-8 hours on it. And I LOVE my time detailing my cars. Its like a little escape.

It's really TOO hot here during mid-day to do it now.
Always apply polish and sealant in the shade.

    Short Version:
Depends on the condition of the paint.

I use a PC with pads and polish
    Always use GOOD Micorfiber towels!

    Wash / Polish 1-2 days
    Two bucket method
    Wash / clay / Wash
    Kevin Brown Method
Megs 105 / LC Orange pad
Megs 205 / LC White Pad
Menz PO85RD / LC Grey pad

    Sealant 1/2 day+
Zaino Z-2 / Z-6 (max three coats per day)
I like the Zaino white & Blond towels
    or
    Blackfire Wet diamond (3 coats)

You should not need to polish again for at least 6 months to a year

    Maintain
Wash each week (Two bucket method)
Z-6 or Z-8 detail spray for touch ups
    Reapply sealant every 3-4 months

Worst thing for your vehicle...talk about swirl marks, paint chips, and decal tears....stop immediately for the sake of your truck!!!

all sweatty dam day... Merlin taught me how to do it right and first time out it took me all day long. And to be honest, I was rushing it a bit. It can take two days or longer if you do it right.
