mufflers and exhaust??????

Need some advise guys? I got an '03 HD and I am looking to get some extra horses as well as a rumble. I like the stock placement of the tail pipe. I would just like to replace the muffler either magnaflow of flowmaster. Can anyone give some advise or personal experience?

I got a polished SS muffler from them put on my HD a few months ago. sounds awsome!

Thanks for the reply. I still have a question regarding the pipes into and out of the muffler. I know that stock they are pretty large pipes I think 2.5 " in diameter. Would I gain anything either performance or sound by makeing them 3". Let mw know

You need to learn about the CA Modified Vehicle Law. If a cop hears your exhaust and thinks your vehicle is modified he has the right to ask you to pop your hood. If he finds your vehicle is modified he can write you a $400 ticket. Know the numbers, know your rights and know the laws!

If your not going over 600HP you don't really need 3" and BASSANI's are loud but Flowmasters will keep you under the law!

I know the 00-01 SI/DO exhaust is 2.5" pipes all the way, i'd assume the 02-03 DI/DO would be 2.5" also since from the muffler back the pipes are all the same 00-03.

Put a full Bassani system on- headers, cats and mufflers- sounds like a NASCAR at WOT. A little expensive but worth it I think. The pipes also exit in front of the tires which looks reaaly good
