I like your car, I am particularlly fond of the carb'd Boxers. My 365BB (S/N 17543) was my second most favorite after my Lussos.

I much prefer the Euro Spec Valence panels to any of the configurations that accomodate the butt ugly (and heavy) DOT Legal Bumpers, I assume yours never came south of the border so it is as it was built? I converted mine completely back to Euro Specs.

Perhaps someone can tell me how to get rid of the "Attached Image" below that appeared out of nowhere???

Hi Mike,
I like your old 365 too which Geno recently sold, we spoke on the phone about 17543 Im guessing 6 or more years ago and you filled me in on its history. I had an injected boxer at the time but since sold it and bought this 79 BB. I have a 79 308GTB as well. It has never been DOT converted fortunately and was imported to Canada new. The koenig snorkels and a variety of engine mods were done back in 79 so im keeping it period correct rather than return the engine to stock. I just put the koenig cams back in it tonight in fact so the engine is almost ready to go back in. Im trying to work a deal on a 365 boxer right now but it takes time to negotiate as im sure you know. Looking forward to seeing how the koenig performance package works which with any luck will be in september / october at the latest.
How well do you know Geno? I'd love to know what prompted him to chuck the fairly rare, original seat upholstery. Not to say I don't like what he did but being an FCA Judge and therefore a bit of an originality freak, any time I can retain something unique that is in good condition (appearance wise), I would choose it over newer, later and greater.
Ive spoken to Geno a few times but never discussed the seats and dont know him very well. He sold the blue car (its in the new york area) and bought a yellow 365 boxer in its place. I have a set of NOS spinners with raised horses that he wants for the yellow car but he'll have to pry them out of my cold dead hands. Im with you, I like original with patina over new.
You have a PM.
