Saleen boost gauge on non supercharged harley

Hi everyone, yes i am a newbie been meaning to put pics up but just havent really got on here to introduce myself. I'll start off my name is Trey from Arkansas, I have an 06 f150 harley davidson edition and i love it. Wish i could get the supercharged one but just dont have the money for one right now. So i modded the truck, 2" drop in the front about a 5in drop in the back; CAI, programmer, smoked taillights, hids, leds etc. I decided to put in the harley boost gauge pod for the looks because the look cool lol. my thing is im sure i can wire them to something where the lights on the gauge will at least come on...i read something on where one guy had his wired to something behind the dash. My question is where could i wire them to light or light and at least the needles move. I appreciate your answers and time.

If all you want is the lights then just run the ground to a ground and the power to a power source that goes on and off with the ignition. Thats all it takes. The needle obviously wont move so If you have friends like mine they will laugh at you for having a useless piece, But Its your truck, So go for it!

I'm sorry I know you're new on here but I have to ask why would you want to install a boost gauge on a truck that doesn't have a supercharger or any type of forced induction and then ask how you can get the needles to move when you don't have any of those things?

That is such a ricer thing to do. While your at it, why don't you get one of those mufflers that make the turbo sound.

    BTW, welcome to the board.

Ok like I stated in my first post I said it was for looks! I read on one of these forums a guy had a boost gauge pod for looks but had it wired to something under the dash and the needles move, doesnt matter about me being new or not i just ask if anyone knew it could be wire or not. Not what you thought about it. Thanks

    Trey from Arkansas,
    welcome to the board.
    1st "Search" is your friend.
2d if you ask a question you'll get an answer or two- lot of talented smart guys here who know more than you'll ever need.
3d if you ask a question you'll also more than likely get an opinion that will probably end with "it's your ride........" If you can't handle the opinions than you probably should not ask in the 1st place.

Sorry about the guys abruptness but I kinda told you ^ up there! Like the other guy told you, It also ended in Its your truck, Go for it. I do not know of any way to get the needle to move less putting a blower on it, Then it would move for sure!!

If your gauge is boost & Vacuum then you should be able to splice into a vacuum line & you should get some needle movement. But Tweeks suggestion is good too
