It’s time to honor our next TOTM winner and in true TOTM fashion this one comes to us a well deserving win. As soon as this month’s winner joined the nhtoc back in April of 2009, he has been non-stop with posting up new threads or on threads. Always willing to throw out any information that he has or asking for help from others as a regular contributor to the boards. Some could say…this was just to get his post count up to 500 to win TOTM or not, but he finally realized that being a paid member was the way to go. I think we can let him slide for that early post-whoring
This month’s winner comes to us from the infamous state of New Jersey…oh sorry "Nuw Joyzee" for you local folks. When he is not searching for Jimmy Hoffa, hitting deer with his truck, hanging out with Snookie, or making sure his hair can withstand any movement while on a sport bike doing 150+…he is always busy making his truck even more unique. From the usual additions we all have to the extremely tasteful accents and personalized touches he has created from his taillights to the custom painting…it is definitely safe to say that the mod bug has hit this one hard and has created a “situation” who is DTM.
Having had the HD bug bite him long ago…well maybe not that long ago, after all he is just now legal to drink…it was only fate that this truck arrived in his well capable hands. When not enjoying the truck driving it around, cleaning/detailing, modding, and winning car shows with it…he spends time with his family while working with his dad, helping mom around the house, or just enjoying some good ole video game time. A caring son who has a good outlook on life and still deciding upon what path to venture down. In closing, let me leave this month’s winner with a piece of advice. Enjoy your youth and the time that you have...don't make any hasty decisions unless it comes to spending money on the truck...and just make sure that whatever decision or path you choose, it is your own and things will be just fine.
Well with that being said, let me be the first to congratulate our October 2010 TOTM winner, member # 684, Michael “I am Fr0zen” Taylor and his 2002 DSG build #2199.
Question # 1: What sparked your interests in the Harley trucks?
Specifically your HD Truck?
My father met up with a guy that lives in town. We stopped at his house and he had a 2002 HD sitting in his driveway. I saw it when I was about 16. The very second I laid my eyes on the truck i absolutely fell in love with it and wanted one. He let me sit in the driver seat and i knew it was something i wanted to have one day. the truck had 14,000 miles on it and he said if i gave him 23,000 i could have it. i being 16 knew that was impossible and i dreamed about one day having the truck.
Question # 2: Any interesting stories behind the history of vehicles
you've owned leading up to the HD truck or how you got it?
my first vehicle was a 1998 dodge 2500 diesel. i leased a jeep wrangler as my first vehicle. Drove the thing for 3 longgg years and hated it. i originally wanted to get a new dodge ram 1500 as a first vehicle but my mom didn’t want me to get it so i had to pay out the A55 for the wrangler. The time came to trade in the wrangler and I was looking around for new cars and knew I wanted something better than a wrangler as I hated it. i wanted something like a benz or saab or something. it almost came to the point were i was ready to sign papers for a new saab nine5. i thought to myself i got some money saved how about a HD. ill just look around. i went to the neighbor who had the HD and i pull into his driveway and noticed his HD looked different. i asked are you ready to sell your HD" he said no i just got this one a 2003 with 12k miles on it. He said look through craigslist you’ll find one. so i searched. i came across a HD about a hour from my home. i pull up to the guys house. the guy opens the garage and i see the truck with a cover on it. he pulled the cover off and the smile on my face was ear to ear and i know i wanted it. it was a 2002 with 23k miles on it. I immediately fought the bank to get the loan for the truck and the day the bank approved it i went to the guys house and drove that HD home still with the smile from ear to ear. it was one of the best days of my life.
Question # 3: Give me a rough list of the mods that have been done to your truck. I know you've got a lot done, so you can just list your favorites if you'd like!
i have a lightning upper pulley, a 4lb lower pulley, a canned tune, jlp cold air intake, c&l elbow, magnum powers idler bracket, metco idlers, traction bars, magnaflow catback, rotorpros, punisher valve body, 4x4 trans pan, ported throttle body,
i also have a bed rug, cervinis cowl hood, gaylord speedster bed cover, SS rollpan, im a little lowered, lots of lil custom flashy things here and there.
Question # 4: Tell us a little about yourself. Your other hobbies, your job, your favorite past time, whatever!
right now i am 21, i am from NJ (north jersey- the real NJ not like those fake southern jersey boys) i still live at home with mom. i work at a deli and for dads excavation business, no really sure wat i want to do with my life. haha ill figure it out though. hobbies i am a jack of all trades id say. i do all of the work to my truck myself. i must say i have a new past time its my truck. i love learning about it. im a creative person as some of you may seen some of the things if done. like building models, taking pictures, detailing cars and bikes. idk i do lots of stuff I dont even kno wat to mention.
Question # 5: You've been a member on the site for a while now, what is one of the best things you like about the site that keeps you around?
as corny as it sounds i love to learn. let me rephrase that. i love to learn about things that interest me. i look back at posts i have done when i first joined the site and i really had absolutely no idea about anything from what buttons did or what TB or CAI stood for haha. thats why i stay though. besides the fact majority of the people on here are ball busters im really glad i got to meet a bunch of them and gain new friends out of it.
Question # 6: What is one suggestion to help make the site a better place?
i think you should honestly keep it going the way it is.. maybe fix the classifieds since they get a little glitchy sometimes. maybe add a chat room?
Question # 7:
This is where I normally ask about where you decided on your screen name and any specific reason for choosing it?
people know my screen name from video games. i have had i am fr0zen for sooo many years playing xbox it just stuck. its like my last name people call me taylor or fr0zen never mike. Haha
Question # 8: Almost at the end, what is in the future for your truck?, so what’s the next plan of attack for your trucks future?!
plan of attack. haha. clever. i dont know. i know the mod bug has really got a hold on me. but i must finish my custom tail lights and headlights and corners. that important to me. then i have no idea. id really love to own a magnum powers blower one day.i really enjoy going to shows. id love to have an amazing show truck one day. BTW won my very first trophie recently!!!
Question 9: Last and final question, just an open end question for if you had anything else you wanted to mention that I didn't have a question for...here's the place to go at it! Your web site link, a plug for something, etc. etc. whatever you want to throw in!
