Good Job! Excellent start!
What wax or sealant did you use?
What size backing plate in your PC?
You can use the 5" backing plate and 6 1/2" LC CCS pads without changing the counterweight.
What pads do you have for polishing?
I like Surbuf R Series 5.5 Inch Buffing Pads 2 Pack for getting out fine scratches and swirls.
Followed with Lake Country flat pads
For polish
I like Meguier's 105 then 205 (and for extra shine if desired) follow with Menzerma PO85rd
Two basic rules:
Least aggressive method first.
Preparation is the key!
To remove swirls and scratches
Surbuf / Megs 105
followed by
LC orange flat pad/ Megs 105
followed by
LC white flat pad/ Megs 205
(to brighten finish after using 105)
followed by
LC black flat pad/ Menz PO85rd
(if desired)
To apply your favorite wax or sealant by pc.
LC black flat pad/Wax or sealant
A lot of folks like applying (Last Step Product) LSP by machine. I prefer to apply by hand.
-----
Short list
5" backing plate
Surbuf pads
Lake Country flat orange, white, black pads
Meguiar's 105 and 205 polish
If you polish your paint before LSP you will be amazed at the difference!
This isn't something you do every time you wash, wax or apply sealant.
