    Cold Air Intake

Hey Guys: Could I expect any gains or sound changes by adding a cold air intake to my 5.4 ?

Certainly! You won't have enormous gains but if you let that motor breath it will reward you with a bit more pep and throttle response, most claim up to 20 HP. MPG? I never have believed these claims by the manufacturer. Sound? You may here a little bit of air flow noise.

They all claim to have these crazy HP numbers increase but its mainly some throttle response as your getting more air in there and you can have some sound difference depending upon what you put in and how much power you got going right now.

My intake is the whipple intake and when I stomp on it and let out, it lets out a Blow Off Valve sound from all the air its sucking in. I have even had people ask me if I was turbo because of this sound.
