there's absolutely zero yellow in 4300k. Its pure silvery white. There't no blue, only blue hue on startup till they warm up, but after that its pure silvery white

IM SAYING THEY ON THE YELLOW SIDE of the spectrum... in my opinion.....i drive a ls460 all the time and ONCE my EYES GET USED TO IT, they are more on the yellow/white spectrum than the blue/whit spectrum! i want more blue/white 8 k is blue and thats too much in my opinion. im glad my ****t doesnt have that any more..i had 10000k BUT IT WAS ON 55WATT ballast which gave me a 8000k color. being it was fairly bright though, it seemed 7kish especially bc the bulbs were ****ty too

SAY what you guys want but thats my opinion along with others! go to hidplanet.com and read around as well!

by the way im not sayin its yellow.....im saying its on the yellow side between white and yellow....5000k is pure white and 6k is white with a hint of blue
what makes 4300k look blue on cars is the projector lenses but if you guys drive around in beamers, ect....and your eyes get used to the actual light output, you would understand where im comin from. in my opinion the light output on our Lexus LS460 is white with a tad bit tint of light yellow and i had others verify as well when riding around

My DD is a Range Rover, i Understand wt ur sayin travis, when they light up theres a slight blue tint once it warms up it gets white, but there is also a yellow lining with a blue tint that can be seen through the projector.

    thank you...AMEN!
    THATS EXACTLY WHAT IM SAYIN
the blue tint is what i see from the projector looking at the car from the outside. thats the projector lenses that give that figment of imagination. the light output is the white/yellow tint im referring too though. sorry for the confusion on my explanation if there was any as well
thanks for the clarification....NOW COMPARED to halogen lite, it may seem total white but it takes driving time for your eyes to adjust

Just an opinion from me, The lights look gay! Looks like somethin on the new Honda Bumride and can do without it. But hey, Im sure there is a ton of crap on my truck that people dont like? That said, The worksmanship your putting into the project is very impressive.

Kinda with you, but won't call it gay. It's definitely not for me. Prefer my truck's front fascia to look Ford Tough, not Foreign Chic. Best I can say is, their performance is great!

    haha, thanx bro!
most harley owners that dont approve of this mod or better yet other mods as well isn't seeing it into the usefulness category and instead seeing it in the look category. im tired of changing out ballast and that pushed me into thinking out the box...AT THE SAME TIME, i wanted oem parts to avoid giving me anymore trouble and nothing cheap bc after all...ITS A HARLEY! ALL parts used are oem down to the bulbs!
the major point of the mod is the light output! LITERALLY light versus day.
and as far as you callin gay may either mean you arent confident with your sexuality but im thinking its just a better choice of words that should be used. As that offended me, sorry if it offends you but again thanks for understanding the thoughts/love im putting into my HD

this is too funny as most of you prolly have lightning headlites and clear corners which refers rite back to the "foreign chic" lmao!!
......On another note, guys im not doing this for the looks what so ever! im ONLY DOING THIS for BRIGHTNESS IN LIGHT OUTPUT and the only way of me to get OEM parts is going with d2s based bulbs. brights suck for our drop in cheap hid ballast kit upgrades as thats whats needed most while headed to the camp for early hunting/fishing/drag racing. the faster you go on the open roads, the further you need to see ahead of you as well!
by the way, soon every vehicle will have projector lights and better yet ford already has them on most of their vehicles

Projectors are far of better quality and transmit light more effectively and further, theres a reason why all high end cars and exotics now have them. I wonder if the small projector on the 350z could be modified to fit as it would barely be noticable. Like these

it would have to be a thought out process....remember, u cant just silicon the sucker in their...u wanna be able to aim them preferably by the use of machine screws and aluminum. post more pictures of different angles of the 350z projectors......as for the ballast, those appear to be the matsu****a's which are great and would be the ballast to get if i wasnt getting the denso's. the first thing u wanna do with those ballast is a must! silicone the igniter side totally, just go to the store and grab a bottle and go at it. that would water proof them totally
in my opinion, you need to consider that those dont have shrouds and in retrofitting thats what u want specifically to hide the retrofitting and make it look oem. if not you can and will see every part of the retrofitting process which would make it look considerably and noticeably bad
i wouldnt worry about these others have to say in terms of "gayness" bc i have had even girls comment on the quality how it puts even more to the truck! they have said the money and quality thats in this truck fit in the highend category anyways when u see the truck during the day and at night.... it adds to the term ... "HOTT"
so anyone thinking gay just may need to check themselves as 4 of my model girl friends said along with my fiance'

they love the look, my buddies love the look, and most of all i love the output!!

I own 4300k HID's in both my trucks, and they aren't in a projector that has other effects on the appearance of the lighting color hue. They're my Sylvania Xenarc HID which are a NON-projector housing. You may want to say they're on the "yellow-side" of the spectrum, but that doesn't change the fact that the light output is PURE WHITE. The look of the lights from oncoming cars is SILVERY white.

Take the visible light spectrum and divide it in half and yes 4300k is on the "yellow" half, but its smack dab in the middle of dead-azz white lol

Of all ppl I thought u would have a better understanding as u should know color charts vary from company to company
And I'n my opinion this color chart is def. Not showing great details compared to the ones i have seen. Lighting is my thing as i own 2 very successful electrical companies i know color charts and this is incorrect I'n my eyes!
I understand u own 4300k and that's great u take pride I'n ur lites but 5k is on the pure white area.
To the naked eyes and compared to oncoming traffic 4300k is white but digitally it's not. The reason PHILIPS made oem lights I'n 4300 k is bc that's the most lumen lite and more lumens are put out more on the yellow region than white EVEN though it seems brighter.... The computers read it brighter which I'n fact is brighter
Thanks for trying to make ur point clear.
I'm comparing everything to my normal lite output that I drive with. I like it white with a hint of blue....
NOW HARLEY read below and this could vary well explain y u think urs is white bc it may just be white but not 4300k white
    GREAT HID BULB INFO:
The newer designed PHILIPS bulbs (85122+) are specifically designed to stay the same color with no color changing affects once "broken I'n". Their 4300k all the time. They designed these bulbs so when a bulb burns out, ppl won't have to buy 2 bulbs for color matching. Now the older designed bulbs (85122) are 4300k but after "broken I'n", the color can change to 5100k. This could very well be the reason some say their light output is white. Every bulb (but the PHILIPS 85122+) once "broken I'n" ,usually around 100 hours, has that color changing affect. Hope this clears up your explanations on how ur saying ur bulbs white 5000k IS WHITE but 4300k isn't

O and your lights are the only other route ppl should take for installing hid's. As them like mine are now designed to give the hid lite how it's supposed to. I like being different with my light setup and my route is the only way to get that color changing deep blue/purple affect which I'n fact keeps oem parts along with oem FORD lites. I can Noe drive around knowing the quality that was put into my lite output. I haven't had this many compliments with friends on a mod and this mods not even installed yet. ...Hehe!
