I used a very small Phillips & punched small holes in the front & back of the BedRug.
I wasn't really sure which way I took off the tie downs or which way they were before.

They are probably more functional turned over but I thought they looked better this way.
I also did the holes for the four grommets and the swivel posts for the bed extender.

I really don't think the BedRug is an "exact" fit. It was just short of being the correct length.
That's what took me the extra time to readjust to bring it out to fit correctly at the tailgate.

Thanks man. Was considering reinstalling them whenever I get one. Just hadn't seen it done before. Your install looks super nice. Heck, I've never hauled anything any distance that I need to secure with the tie downs, but I like having the little chrome fellas there whether they're needed or not.

Great job Mike! Told ya you'd love it. Looks killer and really sets the truck off for the shows you go to as well. Plus, it's a nice play pen for showing off all the HD toys and trophy's you got too!

Looks great! Bedrugs are a must have to really finish off the look.

The tiedowns are installed up side down lol. I thought about flipping mine as well, but actually using them all the time, right side up they work perfect.

I thought they were upside down.

They just "looked better" this way to me.

I flipped 'em back an forth a few times before I reinstalled 'em. It was a form vs. function thing for me.
I picked the "shiny side up" version. More chrome is visible this way and I really don't use 'em anyway.
I'm sure I will still be able to use 'em with a ratchet strap or some darn thing. It just wont be as easy.
Oh well, They are some long a$$ screws! Now they're in there I may not change 'em anytime soon.

I already have a few of these straps that I could use if I need to.

I've kept my slicks and skinnies in the bed for years. Never had a problem. The bedrug is nice for a lot of stuff because it doesn't slide around, especially tires.

New Addition to the Bedrug - HARLEY DAVIDSON 100th anniversary Goldwing patch

I wasn't too thrilled with the BedRug logo so I found something to dress it up a bit.

Looks nice! You were lucky with the newer style bedrug and the small easy to cover logo. Us guys with the older versions have the gigantic BEDRUG text across the entire front bed wall.
