are you going to have cross member joining your bars coming out the rear window? and are you going to do the front bumber mod, cut your front frame brackets off and getting him to weld new brackets like this....
no cross brace on the rear bars. Not needed for an 8.50 cert, and just adding unnecessary weight.
front bumper is all OEM, not cutting the front frame horns off, and can't ditch the factory metal section till I find a place that can make a fiberglass reproduction one.
THAT be kewl...u sayin a fiberglass reproduction front bumper or bracket?
the bumper in your pic is a L bumper. They have a full front urethane bumper cover, and the metal bumper bracket is behind the urethane cover. So they can remove the entire metal bracket and mount just the urethane cover and shed 20-30 lbs off the front. Our HD's, and every other f150, the front bumper is a 3 piece deal, and all 3 pieces are exposed. The plastic top pad, the metal center bracket, and the bottom urethane valance. So you can't remove the middle metal center bracket because its a painted piece of our bumper. I need to get that part reproduced in fiberglass.

updates yet josh?
Nope, don't want to stop by too often and pester him. I plan on stopping by Thursday to see if he started up on it yet. Once he does get rolling on it progress will be pretty frequent, but I don't want to rush him on other peoples vehicles just to get to mine, because I wouldn't appreciate other people rushing him on mine to get to theirs
somethings missing.......
oh-chit the tape measure's out and the gears are turning!
nice job on the rear window surround im actually doing the gauge cluster and radio bezel in my cuz's L. I cant wait too see that thing at johnny's im sure it will be badazz
*IF* I bring it to the dyno day lol. May bring the g/f's 5.0 since a lot of mustangs usually come to the dyno day as well. I've dynoed Hyde dozens of times, never had the 5.0 on the rollers yet. Plus it'll get you out to the TRACK if you want to see Hyde in its element! lol
Little more progress....has some HOLES punched in the floor, no turning back now!
Wow. Good luck.
Thanks. Should have updates pretty regularly now that he's started up on it. You guys know me with pics, and especially for something that I'm not doing, I want as many pics through the process as possible! Planning on stopping by there tomorrow at lunch to see how it's going.
Bump. Any updates?
