Has anyone changed out your coil springs on your own?
Fixing to do this and couldn't find a how to on replacing the coil springs. Im assuming Ill need a spring compressor. Anyone ever done it?

no spring compressor needed. unbolt the shock, upper control arm and they drop right out. insert the new spring and reinstall back. summed it up for ya!

the how-to index should have a link to a how-to with step by step pics on doing front coils. no spring compressor is needed. Its very easy to do. You will need camber bolts

Does anybody have a copy of this write-up that they could share? The link appears to be no longer working.
Thanks.

I tear the front end down to the spindle, unbolt the shock, place a jack under the lower control arm, unbolt the upper ball joint, break in loose from the spindle and then lower the lca with the jack. Spring should fall out and the install is the reverse of the tear down

Yup, pretty much what Jake said, Though I had to actually add a little body weight to the LCA to get it to rotate enough to get the springs out on my '03. But my '02's just fell out like he said.
