not at all. they cut pretty easily with a hack saw.

Is there a how-to on this? I need to make sure I'm cutting the right amount of the bump stop off. Also, where do I get shock extenders? Is there a link?

grab a 6 pack and do a bit more reading, you'll dig most of that up pretty easily. You can cut the bumpstops in half. Really no exact science to it. Their purpose is so the axle doesn't hit the frame metal on metal. It cushions it. As long as the bumpstop is a little beyond the frame rail edge you're good.
