Ok where am I in rwhp range???

So I have dyno time Monday at the horsepower ranch in Auburn Washington on a mustang dyno. So with a 6 lb lower, lightning upper, jlt cai and full bassani exhaust and ****ty can tune from lfp, where should I be rwhp wise? Id like to know for sure so I don't get a shotgun blast to the chest on Monday. It will be completely dyno tuned Monday for its first time and I just want a baseline idea before I go to avoid my feeling getting hurt in front of guys who build and dyno 2,00 rwhp nmra mustangs every day. Thanks...

First time my truck was on the dyno I had a similar setup plus a few extras....I came out with 403rwhp/500rwtq. You should come out with slightly less depending on which can tune you've got...I'm sure the others will chime in and narrow it down further. No matter what you come out with hold your head up high, you've got the best looking pickup on the road!!

Besides, i'm sure you dont plan on keeping your dyno results the same for too long...

Let us all know what the results are!

Thumbs up 457rwhp 567rwtq with similar options

    Tweeker,

I have an 03 with similar mods and I was pulling 402 rwhp 500rwtq numbers before I did my own blower port job. After the blower port it picked up some pretty respectable numbers. Also gained a couple lbs of boost so that helped as well. Porting an Eaton M112 was pretty easy with a die grinder and some 80 grit emery cloth took me all of about 2 hrs to pick up 55rwhp and 67rwtq. Of course the typical removal and installation time not included in this mod. Check out a blower spacer as well. This raises the intercooler core and blower out of the intake valley about 5/16" and gives the additional room needed to let the added volume of air flow to the heads. Basically reduces the backpressure in the intake system. I run Sunoco 94 exclusively since I am also running 21 degrees advance in my tune. Keeps the detonation in check....

Let us know the results of the dyno coming up and good luck with the pull.

My 03 put down 395/495 on that dyno when it was at John's house with a JLP 6lb lower, JLT intake and a custom catless Spintech exhaust system.

as mentioned dynos vary by quite a bit! not only do the same mods on different trucks act differently, the same truck on different dynos acts differently! Since its a mustang dyno they typically read lower as well since they're loaded. If you're anywhere around 380 rwhp +/- 20 rwhp you're in the ballpark range. The real test to know where you stand is the 1/4 mile...because afterall what good is that power if it can't be put to the ground?

Sorry, gotta raise the flag :bs: 55 rwhp & 67 rwtq are way on the high side for typical gains from a ported blower. You need to tell the full story behind the changes before/after. The ported blower was the only change? Were both dyno's in similar conditions? Was it the same dyno? Most importantly, what was the timing before? Because 21* of timing is an absolute shat load of timing. Typical tunes are 14-16* of timing on a stock block combo for the street. 21* is WAY up there. And if your tuner jacked your timing way up when you added the ported blower, most of your gains came from putting your tune on the very edge of a hole in the block on a street tune, rather than just a quick port job.

Great info! Thanks man. I have heard that he is incredible with the tuning and worth the 150 an hour. Can't wait for him to get my baby right.

I have an 8lb lower , CAI , TR6s & Afco heat exchanger & on a Mustang dyno I was in the 360-370 hp range . I was intially disappointed in the #s but the seat of the pants gain was incredible. So like josh say's don't dwell on the #s , the dyno experience was cool .

I made 370/476 on a dyno run by Racers Edge Tuning in S. Cali. My power mods: 6lb lower, JLP RAM, and JDM Silver Bullet Cat Back.

I did my run with the Replica 22's on 305/40/22 rears. Just wondering........, would my numbers have been any better if I had done the pulls with my stock 20's?
