    Here's another one for ya....

The gentleman that owns this truck says it has a salvage title because it blew both bags. He said the frame doesn't have any damage and it still has the original windshield (not sure how you tell that) and thought maybe the guy hit a deer. It happened with the original owner that was an insurance agent for what it's worth. Anyway, it has some mild bolt on mods along with a chip and after market speakers. He says it's around 550hp. Truck has about 90k on the clock. Talking possible trade for my '02 Avalanche which is pretty nice. I'm asking $12,500ish so that gives you an idea...

I'm not a fan of bad titles but this appears to be nice. The passenger side bar does look bent though. Give your take Harley experts!!

+1 on the mild bolt on's = 550....gonna have to call BS on that.

Truck looks clean and nice from the pictures, but the problem is that it has a salvage title. That is the killer and unfortunately for the seller that means the price/value is going to be way less then what it would be if it wasn't a salvage title.

Salvage title, 90K miles, I would stay away unless he would take $8000 max...if it didn't have a salvage title, in this market he would be lucky to get $13,000 - $15,000

I agree about the wont keep its value part, but if your plan is to keep it ...Hell, why not go for it! Anything you get your going to have to do stuff to make it yours, and if you feel it saves you dinero get it. Just remember the pass side nerf bar is on upside down!

The exterior and interior looks to be good. The mileage is high. The title is kinda bad and the BS is a little deep.

    Choose wisely my friend.

Mild bolt on is my terms so forgive me if mis-represent (don't know a lot about these SC engines). It is tuned and has the smaller pulleys as well. He took it to some mechanic technical school in the St. Louis area to have the tune done and they also looked at the frame and said that there hadn't been any work done to it. I guess you can tell by marks on the ears or something. He said the hood is after market and he's not a 100% sure about the fender. However, he said all the body lines look really nice. Also, the ball joints have been changed and he said nothing looked funny there either when he did that. He honestly sounds like a very genuine guy and I haven't felt mislead at all out of the two conversations I had with him. He told me that he traded a C5 Vette for it. This is his son's truck and is just too much power. I really don't like the fact that it has a black eye either but I just thought if it truly hasn't been hit hard and it looks good underneath maybe it wouldn't be too bad. They are just looking to get something a little more mild for their son now.

Can a vehicle be salvaged even when it isn't damaged that bad? I believe he said both bags had been replaced. He thought about trying to lookup the police report to see what he actually hit. Couldn't have been too bad if there wasn't any frame damage, right?

    Here is his ad:

For sale or trade is a beautiful limited edition (36xx of 12000) F150. It has the 5.4L Supercharged V8, It also has a cold air intake with a monster SCT mass air flow. It has Magniflow exhaust from the cat back. It has a smaller pulley to make more boost and an SCT tuner. It spent a month at Rankin Tech in the performance shop tuning it so all emissions pass and to get the most power out of it. Since I bought it I have put new rear brakes on it and all four ball joints have been changed. It has a Pioneer DVD/Nav head unit with MB Quarts door components in all doors and a 12 inch sub in the read console. It also has a rear view camera that shows up on the screen. The only issue with this truck is the 1st owner was an insurance agent and was in an accident that popped both airbags so it does have a prior salvage. All the work was completed by a professional shop, both airbags have been replaced. It has been checked out by Mattese Auto on Lemay Ferry Rd and all was good. This is a great truck to get in and drive anywhere or if your into it it would be a great truck to take to the track and show up the Cameros. The truck is also equipped with a clifford alarm with remote start.

I am selling this truck because I got it for my 16yr old son and it is just to much truck for him

Run Away! As many have said... no way it has that horsepower with a few bolt ons and a salvage title REALLY brings down the value.

Tons of 02 and 03 models out there in the $15k range with less miles and good titles. You might even be able ti find a fully built HD for not much more.

    Keep looking.
Yes officer... I am aware of how fast I was going!

Not everything that shines is Gold. I wouldn't touch it, unless the price was just right.

Don't let the salvage title scare you away , I bought mine with a salvage title . it was in a front end collision & repaired & I have had no problems at all . Passed all the Canadian import inspections no problem , but like others have said do you plan on keeping it ? Take it to a body shop or stealership you trust & have them go over it . As long as the price reflects the title status & it checks out , just don't figure on big resale $$ in the future.

You should see this Ford - Harley Davidson Alliance image in bottom-center of an OEM HD windshield. Passenger side there's a sticker that says something about being manufactured in Ford's Kansas City Truck Plant (not sure of exact words).

I'd also check the radiator support for evidence of damage or replacement. After market hood indicates more damage than just air bags. I agree on the negative effect of a salvage title for both future sale and present worth. I wouldn't but it but that's me.

I agree with what 03_HD_F150SC said.

The OEM windshield will have the alliance logo in the bottom center and if you look close all the little "windshield dots" are the HD bar & shield logo.

If the windshield was replaced with an alliance OEM this just means they spent the extra $ to replace the windshield with the original OEM HD windshield.
But The ORIGINAL windshield will have the "Kansas City" assembly sticker on the inside of the passenger window. If it ain't there it's been replaced!

Good info guys. I haven't talked with the owner today. I'm not sure what kind of deal we would do. I may want him to give me a $1k or 2k difference because of the title if I do it. I normally buy to sell but thought if I got another one of these I might just keep it for a while.

This is my trading material that is actually up for sale. I'm asking 12,500.
