    Question lightning pulley?

i have a 02 hd supercrew. as far as i've heard the hd has 340 hp where the lightning has 380.. i have heard that by changing the supercharger pulley from the harley w/one from the lightning it should bump up the hd to 380hp. does anybody know if this is true?

lightnings run stock 8lbs of boost 2.93 upper pulley/7.75 lower pulley
harleys run 6 lbs of boost 3.25 upper 7.75 lower
lightnings have a more aggresive tune from factory.
so id say put a lower pulley on it, leave the upper alone. you will have less belt slip.
also look into getting a programmer, or even better a dyno tune.
heres some how to's on just about everything

Also those numbers are Crank and not rear wheel HP. Most of us change the lower pulley to a 6 or an 8# lower and get a really good tune done. Then if you want to go even further, there is plenty of info on this site including build threads like.

I have a Lightning upper and 6 lower. Bad azz dyno tune by the one and only Horsepower Ranch in Auburn Wa and 0 belt slip unless I let off of it from a dig, then I don't mind belt slip, easier on Blower. Good belts are Key and a great tune is the biggest kick.

    Good luck man!

You may need to re-phrase your first post as I'm having difficulty interpreting what you mean. Do you want the back end to be a different shape or do you just want to be able to spin out in it?

On that set up with full exhaust also I was at 401rwhp/520. That was alsoo with stock plenum and Throttle Body as well.

Now add ported blower and TB with Methanol Injection to allow for crazy amounts of timing it is a bit more.
