Have you tried Turtle Wax Black Box Kit?

Always considered Turtle Wax products sub-par but saw this kit for doing black vehicles only at the parts store and since it was on sale and I had a gift certificate, thought I'd give it a try. Need to bring up the panels that aren't as dark as the new paint and thought that this might help.

It comes with a pre-cleaner, a detailer for black vehicles and a black only carnuba wax. Instructions say to pre-clean and then use the detailer before and after applying the wax.

Anyone use this and if so, how were the results?

Any other products are out there that will make the black blacker?

Sorry to break the new to ya' but that stuff sucks - I do like the black spray detailer though. It's not bad.
This is from a previous post...

Thank you Dr. Color Chip! It worked wonders.

Did Dr. color Chip then M105/M206/PO85 polish.
I was out of Poorboys Black Hole so I hit up a local auto parts store.
I found Turtle Wax Black Box. Thinking about this thread I purchased some.

    Mini-Review

I was looking for something that would offer some light filling properties.
Hmmmm...Black PreCleaner, Black Carnauba Wax and Black Detail Spray.
It is not exactly what I wanted but it should work.

The black truck was washed clayed and polished with the above compounds.

    I applied the black precleaner
Removed it with the black detailing spray
    Reapplied the black Carnuaba wax
removed it with the black detail spray.

Yes, all three products are black
Yes, it appears that it may be doing something.

    It is NOT!

It is absolute JUNK and IMHO did not have the filling properties, depth, gloss and appearance of Black Hole Glaze.

Don't waste you money on Turtle Wax Black Box!
Use Dr. Color Chip for paint chips and polish your paint!

I wound up applying two coats of Collinite 845 and it came out GREAT!

I gave the whole Black box kit to the truck's owner as a gift.
I keep what I like and give away (get rid of) the stuff I don't like.
I will admit that the BLACK detail spray gave a nice feel and finish.
If you're looking to fill swirls and scratches by hand without using a buffing machine then try
three or more coats of Wet Glaze 2.0 from the Detail Shoppe and finish with Blackfire Wet Diamond.

If you are looking to make the paint "darker" you may wish to try Poorboy's Black Hole glaze before waxing.

A couple of coats of PB Black Hole won't hurt and helps hide swirls before the Last Step Product (LSP).

I hated it , Spent prob 6 hours in my dads home shop and in the shade looked amazing , when I went out In the sun I stared at it drank a beer smoked a cig and went ballistic , the tint it left , wasn't much of a shine , it gave more of a charcoal color than a deep black as claimed , I finished cig , pounded beer , backed right back into the garage and went to town with the clay bar and rubbing compound , took about an hour to get back to normal , then me and my trusty powerball went to town with 3 coats of nxt liquid wax and detailer between coats .... IMHO they need to come out with an nxt polish , I would use those 3 faithfully
