    Transmission problems

    Hi Everyone

I have a 2000 f150 harly, the problem im having is a delay from rev to drive. The rpm's goes upto 1200 or so then a hard engagement! Then when put into drive their is a 3 second delay. The other issue is the od button dont work, it seams like od dont engage.
If anyone can help with this that would be great!!!

    thanks buttman

hate to bust your bubble. but a delay is never good. expecialy going into drive. sounds like the previous driver did a lot of roll shifting. meaning while its still in rev. backing up then popping it in drive.
the clutch material is getting thin.

change the tranny fluid and filter DO NOT FLUSH THE TRANNY FLUID BAD IDEA it will only make it go out faster.

now as far as the o/d light not engauging thats eather a fuze or a relay. check all your fuzes...

does/or has your o/d light ever flashed?

Hi everyone, I have rebuilt my tranny and it works great. I used Monster in a box Maga kit. Instructions were good and the rebuild was easy, the hardiest part was removing and installing. The shifts are hard when wanted and light when putting around town, love it when 3 gear chrups..
