once again the freindly members sharing knowledge to sav each other time grief and moeny, thanks for sharing once again oh wise one, as always your the man on the detail and paint /bright metal work..........and yes I wax my lens's, also my wheels I use the old metal wax tin of inpregnated rags mess 203 times a year, then when waxing do them up, also when between waxing I'll use the spray wax stuff I like, and that stuff is the best I've found for keeping the bumpertrim, step and bed plastic and rubber parts slick and black as new with-out much work at all, just spray and wipe and wala!.it's that Eagle on nano-wax spray.I know nothing fancy and some may say it's a no=-no, but with dirt roads a couple blocks away here in the boonies the record for keeping my truck super clean is about 8 hours till she's hazed with dust if nothing else..cheap and works for me

I don't have all the answers for "alll things detailing" and I learn new things everyday.
I'm happy to share what I've learned (that works for me) with the folks here on NHTOC.
And yes...the knowledge of the folks on here has saved me lots of time, greif and money!

Pretty much (for the headlights) any med/fine compound for plastic or paint should work with your drill.
Megs Ultimate Compound/Ultimate Polish can be purchased at WallyWorld.

Are the pads foam? There are a few different products you can use to polish them with...
PlastX, Novus #2, Megs Ultimate Compuond/Megs Ultimate Polish, Megs M205 or M105, Poorboys SSR2 etc.
Be sure to clean (and dry) the light(s) thoroughly with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) before applying the Spar/MS combo.

NOTE: Don't forget to tape around the headlights (where the paint is) before sanding!

You could wet sand them with 1000 grit then wet sand them with 2000 grit. When your done polish them with Swirl Remover.
