Is it the plastic outer housing that is hazed or yellowed?

If so, I have a solution that I have been using to do headlight restorations.

Here is a thread on a process I use.
Headlight sealant: spar urethane vs. opti coat 2.0 - Auto Geek Online Auto Detailing Forum

Purchase a small pack of wet-or-dry 1500-3000 at your local auto parts store.
Then purchase a small Minwax Spar Urethane and mineral spirits at Home Depot.

Sand wet in small circular motion. Be sure and tape around the headlight (on the paint)
Start with the 1500 sandpaper then complete with the the 3000 grit. Keep the sandpaper wet!

Wipe off with IPA (alcohol) when you are done sanding. Then mix the two above products 50/50.
Wipe the headlight sideways from top to bottom with the combined mixture on a fine shop towel.

I prefer to use a buffer after the sandpaper but lots of folks have had excellent results without doing it.

Take a look at the above thread for more details.I have even used a microfiber towel at times. Apply thin.

The kewl thing is if you screw up the application you can remove it with the mineral spirits before it dries.

do you wax your headlights and taillights when you detail the truck? It always surprises me how many people don't. Definitely helps protect them to keep them crystal clear looking over the years.

i just got the truck last month.. and its been the cold winter rainy season here.. off and on.. its so in consistent.. but i haven't actually waxed the truck yet.. i can't get a day off where its halfway decent... i do manage to take it and spray it off at the carwash so it don't get too dirty thats about it..

I picked all the stuff up at Walmart also. Got a quart of each I mixed 4tbs of each and that made enough to do probably 10 lights I did the Harley lights and an extra mustang light I had with plenty to spare
