Opinions on what speakers and amp to run with the Blackwood box?

This weekend im going to go look at a 8" sub and a amp for the Lincoln blackwood box I got. Im also going to look at door speakers. What's your opinions? 5x7 or 6x8s and what's the deepest speaker can I run? Im guessing there's more options for the 5x7s? Im not going crazy with moneys though. Im going to stick with Pioneer or something. No components.

On the sub, im guessing JLw0 or Alpine V series but what kind of amp? Is there a shallow sub out there for a reasonable price?

I went with a JL 8w3v d2 in my blackwood sub. As far as the amp I have an old Fosgate amp that fit right into the box along side the jack pretty god. Worked out great.

Door speakers I have 3 sets of Infinity 5010cs installed. Cut adapters out of that fiber board crap worked great. As far as speakers go to a place you can listen to them. That is the best way to decide.

I just finished doing all of the sound deadening last night and got my LC6i hooked up tot test. Gonna get it installed tonight then all I am waiting on is my 5 channel amp to come in.

I made a spacer ring for it to move it out about 3/8" or so. Running 100 watts to it right now going to 120 when I get the new 5 channel amp. I plan to post pics of my LC6i install later today. Have to upload them tonight when I get home.

    Thumbs up

I have the JL Audio XR570-CXi speakers in all 4 doors. No depth mounting problems and they just bolt right in with no adapters. They sound great with my JL Audio Stealthbox and Cliff Designs 7 channel amp.

This I'm not aware of but I can tell you my setup........

I got 2 sets of the BOSTON acoustics Pro components (not separated) in the doors and 2 sets of Boston acoustics tweeters each with separate crossovers. The back tweeters are mounted on the rear paneling behind the rear seats and the components are each in the doors in the regular mount locations, Maybe slightly modded. The front tweeters are mounted on the dash in the typical corners surface mounted. Having 12 crossovers to hide was my hard point. That's the reason I mounted the tweeters in their locations.

I went with Infinity Kappas and there is a big difference, but you should match JL with JL
