Have you looked into a 295/45? I prefer it over the other 2 options

Going with shorter sidewalls will cause a rougher ride, and make the gap between the tire and the truck look bigger. Two things I do not prefer for sure ---
    03' Black Harley F-150 #577 29k miles
    90' LPE ZR-1 Corvette #699
    01' VIPER GTS
    06' Jeep SRT8 Grand Cherokee

^^ This is what I am running on all 4 corners. No rubbing.
I might go staggered for the next set with 305's in the rear and 275's in front.

Whats going to happen when you want to rotate the tires? reverse staggered? lol

    Do people still do that?!

I usually don't have anything left to rotate after my normal driving!

Remember I don't have many highways here where I can put a lot of long miles on my truck like you guys. Short roads with a lot of very fast takeoffs for me which results in a different type of rotating!

I have run 8 sets tire conbinations on my 2000 super cab Harley Truck, she now has over 285K miles on her.
I changed at 5000 miles from the 245/ to the larger 285/50/20. These worked well, the Goodyear eagle ll's they come with run well, for about 15-20k on mine then they get louder and louder with the faster wear after that. An Ok tire, the 285's might rub just a tad on the front when turning lock to lock or when entering a driveway, etc too fast.
I did buy two different sets of the higher priced tires, one was the goodyear 85k mile tire, which they no longer make in the tread design I had
Great handling sounding and wet weather tires, but they cost twice what the regular tires do, or more actually. They also got about 35k miles on them before they were done with, the same as the regular ones, so I decided to stick with these eagle ll's, I can buy two sets for the price of one expensive set, and some of my driving is on bad roads which wears them all out faster, no matter what the brand.
I now run the goodyear 245's on the front and the 305's on the back, old skool staggered look. If I was doing alot of distance driving I'd change them to all one size, just to keep from getting in a bind with a flat, etc. Our (and all) posi rear-ends wont like driving with different size tires on the back so beware of getting into that situation.
I bought a whole set of the 245's on a sale, using two for the front and two spares, also a whole set of the 285's, which for a while I ran those on the back before I finally got a deal on the 305's.
I bought a lifetime front alignment deal at the firestone shop nearby and believe me I have gotten my monies worth, for every tire change, chassis lowering etc I have them check it all over. I imagine I have had the front end aligned at least 10-12 times since I bought the truck new, paid 145 for the lifetime deal so I am way in the money on that part.
Very important with the larger tires on the front to keep them aligned or they wont last 3-4k miles or less, plus with the larger tire gripping the road harder you'll know when it's not right., and invest in the chamber bolt kits also, these really help to keep the alignment in place.

What size 305 are you running? Still at 45series? I found some Federals for $120 each on ebay.

Agreed When you get new tires have a set of camber bolts/washers installed before the alignment.

I run 295/45/20 Hankook Ventus ST RH06 Tires on mine.
I like the sporty tread design and the way they fill the wheel well.
They ride nice and are much quieter thatn the previous set of tires I had.
They are also one of the very few (if any) truck sport tires with a 50,000 warranty
