    newbie question

anyone know the vacuum diagram on a 2002 harley truck. Having trouble codes po171 and po174. Sprayed carb spray looking for leaks, cleaned the MAF sensor. O2 sensors are working properly. I have a vacuum line just laying around, would like to know where it goes.

Are you able to take a picture of it? Is one side of the vac line connected?

yes one side goes on to the upper intake on the rightside as you look at it. There are actually two coming off a red and black one

I'll bump this thread up for you.

I got your PM last night. Unfortunately I can't check my truck right now to see where that line might go. Maybe some other peeps can help out. Guys???

Been there, got the trophy! LOL
The line with the plug is normal - we usually use that for the boost gauge.
Since the code is P0171 & 74 that indicates both banks lean which usually means that the lower elbow in the pcv line is cracking.
Spray the carb cleaner at the rear of the block as far down as you can - the elbow is out of sight at the bottom of the intake & see if the idle speeds up.
Now the problem - since you can't see it and you can't touch it, you have to pull the s/c to get at it to replace it or plug it as some have done.
Thought I had some pics, but I guess not.
Do a search on P0174 here - you should fine it.
Bottom line is when the codes are present, ECM richens the mix to try to overcome the leak.
Don't wait too long to fix it!

Pulled the sc and fixed the problem. Previous owner had put another 90 degree bend on the 90 bend coming out of the intake. Truck runs so much better now. Cleaned the innercooler when I took it off, The dang thing couldnt breath.
