That means someone cheaped out on replacements

Definitely. I was running 295/45/20's in the rear and I thought they hooked up pretty good... Especially when the guy/truck that I sold them to were next to me at a light last week and he blew my doors off while I sat there spinning.
Get some new tires stat! Even just "upgrading" to the factory size should make a big difference.
Yeah I was previously running 295/45/20's and they hooked 8 times better than these 22's!
I thought you guys were able to run a 305 on the rear of the 22's though? I was talking to someone on the F150Online forums w/ a regular F150 that he S/C'd himself and he's running Nitto tires and says they grip great on his 22's.
may not be an HD but here is my Ex Lightning lowered on 22's.
I had a TVS kit no isolators up front, Hotchkis Leafs, bell tech shackles, and a belltech C-notch. Bilstein OEM shocks w/extenders.
Wheels were 22x9.5 and 22x12 HRE's on Pirelli 285/30/22 and 335/25/22

Anything is probably better than the skinny 255's that came on the truck I bought. For a minute there I thought you were implying that the 22's gave crappy traction regardless of width. Consensus sounds like 295's on the stock rims, then 285 front and 305 tear on the 22's.
Has anyone taken the time to weigh the stock wheels vs the reps, tire mounted or not?
Reps are lighter than stockers by a few pounds ... but when you add the 305 tire they are about 7 lbs heavier than the stock/tire setup ---
Reps are lighter...interesting. Usually reps are heavier due to being made by a cheaper company vs say something that may have been engineered by the factory. I'm willing to add the minor 7lbs if it allows me more traction when needed. I'll have to pull a stock wheel w/ the tires mounted one of these days and measure it for the hell of it.
I think they are lighter because they are made with inferior metals (not as strong as stock) ... thats just what I read on here though ---
My god the trucks in this thread look AMAZING.... I guess I should add 22inch reps to my list of future mods
