What brand of tire were you running...I'm gonna get some new meat once Kevin finishes my engine swap.
I have been running the Hankook Ventus for some time now and are very happy with them for the weather conditions we get in my area. I know my dad also runs them on his 02 DSG HD up in VA (non-winter months)
Any bottoming out issues on rear with 22 in wheels?
Ive never towed with mine, but absolutely zero issues besides they kick up a bunch of dirt / rocks on the lower part of the bed behind the tire now ---
03' Black Harley F-150 #577 29k miles
90' LPE ZR-1 Corvette #699
01' VIPER GTS
06' Jeep SRT8 Grand Cherokee
When loaded down with a bunch of stuff, and carrying all the guys in my immediate family (all 6'+ ~200lbs) since my truck is lowered with shakles already, with the 305 tires in the back they do rub the fender flares at the top when the truck bottoms out, leaving hanging bits of rubber off the tire and some scratch marks on the tire edge. I may end up trimming the top middle of the fender flares in the back to stop it, but I don't load my truck with that much weight very often.
I still have my factory lowering springs sitting I'm my garage
Ok. I just had some issues with a motorcycle in the back of mine and at flex points or quick dropoffs. I just did the bilstein L shock swap all around thinking that would fix it. It helped definatly but not cured. I'll get it in the air soon and check for damage spots.
shocks just control how springy the ride is, spring rate determines how far the truck will sag when loaded with weight. If you're going to be regularly hauling heavy loads I would suggest some helper air bags that can raise the spring rate when you need it to bring the ride height back up.
Hey bro might be a little late now but if you still have the 22's and wanna sell them msg me i,ll buy them.i live in kent so we are close to eachother.
