Alright... I have gone this far... should I go ahead and do long tube headers over the shorties?

Is there really that much of a power gain?
Yes officer... I am aware of how fast I was going!

YES! Shortys provide pretty much nothing to gain. Only minimal sound difference.

LT's you'll gain power, especially on a full built combo. Worth every penny! Not to mention a much deeper/throatier sound than shorties!

What a tease!!!! Almost as bad as the draw string being pulled tight and notted on the sweat pants. (wonder how many of you will understand that reference)

With current exhaust set up with shorties... she made 624/607 at 15lbs of boost.

She will be retuned in a month or so when the 3'' Cannon (Stainless Works) exhaust system is installed.

    Thanks guys.

Not sure what is the best route for more boost. I have a 3.375 stock Whipple upper and 8lb lower. That ratio should yield about 20lbs of boost, but the Trick Flow ported heads are REALLY breathing. That is why we are only seeing 15lbs.

    Suggestions?

The stage 3 cams are affecting my low end torque, but I am seeing 65k+ in the rpm department. Hopefully the new exhaust with long tubes will help get some torque back.

Good news is with 2-3lbs less boost than previously... I am making 65 more horse power!

    Thumbs up

    Geez, that's awesome! I'm jealous.

After you get your 3" exhaust on you'll probably even lose more boost so I think you could probably go bigger on the lower pulley.
