yep, search for hd4mula on here, there's specs and plans to build one that fits inside the rear console like the JL stealth box.

Ok so I am no carpenter but I started the rear sub box
I'll take more pics when I get my truck back, but I'm curious to see how this box looks completed in actual wood vs a drawing, as well as seeing how it looks sitting inside the center console. My current enclosure I know nothing about other than the one pic I have of it from the bottom, but the rest of the top and sides appear to be made of plastic. The top is completely flush w/ the bottom side of the console lid, but it's a poor fit around the sides...pieces are broken off, gaps, etc. The box sounds like crap, so I'm not sure if I need to stuff the enclosure w/ polyfill and use expanding foam in the cavities between the enclosure or just remake the entire thing.
I also noticed that since my subwoofer is downfiring, for some reason the PO put duct tape down on the metal framing off the floor...I'm guessing as a poor resonance stopper. Has anyone taken a small enclosure like this, tried making the subwoofer chambered inside and just put a port firing forward?

HD4mula box
How are you securing the sub box and console shell to the truck?
I've got my seats and console out and have my box completed other than minor shaping needed on the front and top corners to make it slip inside the console shell easier.
I pulled out the U shaped bracket from the truck to get an idea of how the box will sit, and it kind of looks like I should bend the tabs flush on that U bracket and use it to secure the rear of the box to the truck, and then secure a couple of blocks of 3/4" mdf under the front of the box to give the front of it a bit of support in case somebody leans on the console heavily climbing in?
btw since I work better by seeing things in front of me from all angles and with many measurements available, I translated the HD4mula box into a SketchUp 3D model, it was drawn simply with 3/4" mdf assumed for construction.

Hope this helps anyone.
What's it cost roughly to build it?
